It’s been a few years now since my dad passed away, and…it’s been tough. My dad was not only my best friend, he was my hero. He could sing the phonebook and his songs were nothing short of magical. He had a way of stringing words together and telling a story in a way that when he sang it, you believed him. You could feel it.
You can never prepare for something tragic to happen. Never. Even if you have an idea that an event will take place soon or, possibly not, you still will want more time to prepare.
So as you may or may not know, I took a huge step back from music over the last few years. But when I heard that I was going to be featured on Cowboy Troy’s new album “Laugh with Me” singing the hook, I was very excited. We wrote the song together a while back titled “Party Up” and I wasn’t sure if anything would ever come of it, but it did!
This was a very impromptu release, but I wanted to get it out before Halloween, so be on the lookout for “Cold River” dropping on October 1 on all major streaming platforms.
