"Cold River" by Jason R. Mitchell coming October 1, 2023

After a few years of wanting nothing to do with music, my son has convinced me to start releasing my music again. Last year I signed a publishing deal with my long time friends (and pretty much family) at MP Music House, who I have been working with for over 10 years now.

After being on several different major record labels, and going through the ups and downs of that, I have decided…and I am proud to announce that I will be carrying on my dad’s publishing company, Rebel Run Music while forming an independent record label within that entity. I have to say, and give credit to my friend Dan from MP for pushing me to get Dads songs out. Though it’s been difficult to hear his voice and listen to those songs, it’s been nice to relive those moments while we were in the studio.

No, this does not mean I am going to go back out on the road. Those days are way behind me. But that does not mean that I might not play a show here and there, from time to time. There are a lot of different things that make me, me…and music is one of the biggest parts.

This was a very impromptu release, but I wanted to get it out before Halloween, so be on the lookout for “Cold River” dropping on October 1 on all major streaming platforms.
